Below we inform you in a transparent manner about the operation on this website (hereinafter “site”) of the so-called Cookies.

Definition of “cookie”.

Cookies are short text fragments (letters and/or numbers) that allow the web server to store information on the client (the browser, e.g. Internet explorer, chrome, firefox, opera…) to be reused during the same visit to the site (session cookies) or later, even after a few days (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored, according to user preferences, by the individual browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smartphone).

Similar technologies, such as, for example, web beacons, transparent gifs and all forms of local storage introduced with html5, can be used to collect information on user behavior and use of services.

A cookie cannot retrieve any other data from the user’s hard drive nor transmit computer viruses or acquire email addresses. Each cookie is unique to the user’s web browser. Some of the functions of cookies may be delegated to other technologies. The term ‘cookie’ refers to cookies and all similar technologies.

Depending on the characteristics and use of cookies, there are different types of cookies:

Strictly necessary technical cookies. These are cookies that are essential for the proper functioning of a website and are used to manage various services related to websites (such as a login or access to restricted functions on the sites). The duration of the cookies is strictly limited to the working session or they can use a longer residence time in order to remember the visitor’s choices. The deactivation of strictly necessary cookies may compromise the experience of use and navigation of the website.

Analytics and performance cookies. These are cookies used to anonymously collect and analyze website traffic and usage. These cookies, while not identifying the user, allow, for example, to detect if the same user returns to log on at different times. They also make it possible to monitor the system and improve its performance and usability. The deactivation of these cookies can be carried out without any loss of functionality and will be dealt with in detail later.

Profiling cookies. These are permanent cookies used to identify (anonymously and otherwise) the user’s preferences and improve their browsing experience. While browsing a site, the user may also receive cookies on his or her terminal that are sent by different sites or web servers (so-called “third parties”), on which some elements may reside (such as, for example, images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages of other domains).

For further information on these cookies, which are not used by the website, we invite you to visit the appropriate section on the website http://www.Garanteprivacy.It/cookie.

Purposes of processing and purposes of technical session cookies.

The technical cookies used on the site have the sole purpose of carrying out computer authentication or session monitoring and storage of specific technical information regarding users accessing the servers of the data controller that manages the site. From this point of view, some operations on the site could not be carried out without the use of cookies, which in such cases are therefore technically necessary. By way of example, access to any reserved areas of the site and the activities that can be carried out there would be much more complex to carry out and less secure without the presence of cookies that allow the user to be identified and maintain identification within the session.

In order to reach a correct regulation of these devices, it is necessary to distinguish them since there are no technical characteristics that differentiate them from each other just on the basis of the purposes pursued by those who use them. In this direction has moved, moreover, the same legislature, which, in implementation of the provisions contained in Directive 2009/136/EC, has led to the obligation to obtain the prior consent of users and informed to the installation of cookies used for purposes other than purely technical (see Art. 1, paragraph 5, letter. A), of d. Decree 28 May 2012, n.. Among other things, the same European body that brings together all the privacy authorities of the various member states (the so-called Group “Article 29”) has clarified in Opinion 4/2012 (wp194) entitled “exemption from consent for the use of cookies” that are cookies for which it is not necessary to acquire the prior informed consent of the user:

1. Cookies with data compiled by the user (session identifier), lasting one session or persistent cookies limited to a few hours in some cases;

2. Authentication cookies, used for the purposes of authenticated services, lasting one session;

3. User-centric security cookies, used to detect authentication abuses, for a limited persistent duration;

4. Session cookies for media players, such as “flash” player cookies, for the duration of a session;

5. Session cookies for load balancing, for the duration of a session;

6. Persistent cookies for user interface customization, lasting one session (or slightly longer);

7. Cookies for content sharing via third-party social plug-ins, for logged-in members of a social network.

The data controller therefore informs you that only technical cookies (such as those listed above) are operational on the site and are necessary to navigate the site as they allow essential functions such as authentication, validation, management of a browsing session and fraud prevention and allow, for example: to identify whether the user has regularly accessed areas of the site that require prior authentication or validation of the user and management of sessions relating to various services and applications or storage of data for access in secure mode or control functions and fraud prevention.

For maximum transparency, a series of examples of technical cookies and specific cases of operation on the site are listed below:

– cookies implanted in the user/contractor’s terminal directly (which will not be used for further purposes) such as session cookies used to “fill the cart” in online bookings on the site, authentication cookies, cookies for multimedia content such as flash players that do not exceed the duration of the session, customization cookies (for example, for the choice of navigation language, recall id and password complete with the typing of the first characters, etc);

Third Party Cookies.

By visiting a website you may receive cookies from sites operated by other organizations (“third parties”) that may reside in Italy or abroad.

An example present in most websites is represented by the presence of youtube videos, google api, use of google maps, and the use of “social plugins” for facebook, twitter, google+ and linkedin. These are parts of the visited page directly generated by these sites and integrated into the page of the host site. The most common use of social plugins is aimed at sharing content on social networks in order to increase the user experience of the visitor.

The presence of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies to and from all sites operated by third parties. The management of information collected by “third parties” is governed by the relevant information to which please refer. In order to ensure greater transparency and convenience, below are the web addresses of the various policies and procedures for the management of cookies, specifying that the data controller is not responsible for the operation on this site of third-party cookies.

You can configure your browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or warn you when a cookie has been sent. Every browser is different, so click on the “help” menu of your browser to understand how to change your cookie preferences. For example, in microsoft internet explorer, you can disable or delete cookies by selecting “tools/internet options” and changing your privacy settings i.e. selecting “delete cookies”. Please note however that this website has been structured to use cookies and any uninstallation of cookies may affect the operation of the site and may not allow the best use of the site.

Responsibility for the operation of third-party cookies.

It is recalled in this regard as provided by the general provision of the Guarantor of Privacy on cookies May 8, 2014: “there are many reasons why it is not possible to place on the publisher the obligation to provide information and obtain consent to the installation of cookies on their site even for those installed by “third parties”. First of all, the publisher should always have the instruments and the economic-legal capacity to take charge of the third parties’ obligations and should therefore also be able to verify from time to time the correspondence between what the third parties declare and the purposes they actually pursue with the use of cookies. This is made very difficult by the fact that the publisher often does not directly know all the third parties who install cookies through their site and, therefore, not even the logic behind their treatments. Moreover, it is not infrequent that third parties are placed between the publisher and the third parties who act as licensees, thus making it very difficult for the publisher to control the activities of all the parties involved. Third-party cookies could, then, be modified over time by third-party providers and it would be impractical to ask publishers to keep track of these subsequent changes.”

As indicated by the Guarantor of Privacy this site does not have the ability to control the cookies of third parties when using third party services (youtube, google maps, “social buttons”) of which only the third parties are responsible. In addition, we recall the possibility for the user to delete and block the operation of cookies at any time using plugins for the browser and changing the settings as indicated in the various manuals contained in the browser.

Mandatory or optional consent for the operation of cookies that do not pursue marketing purposes.

It is not compulsory to obtain consent to operate only technical cookies or third-party or analytical cookies assimilated to technical cookies. Their deactivation and / or denial of their operation will make it impossible to properly navigate the site and / or the inability to use the services, pages, features or content available there.
